New battle strategy for if they encounter Lucien and Cree next week: have Fjord suddenly rip his hat off to expose his bald head and then gang attack Lucien while he’s too busy laughing to defend himself.
I’m emotional over the fact that Fjord wanted to stop Caduceus, but he did not in any way want to hurt him while doing so. In the same way Caduceus was compelled to keep going, but he went out of his way to choose a non-damaging spell on Fjord.
I’m also super emotional knowing that underwater struggle was something between just them. That none of the Nein were there to witness it. It was just Fjord desperately holding on to Caduceus. Fjord, who isn’t the strongest member by far, using all his strength to keep this cleric - his cleric - from breaking free. Fjord not giving up until he was literally blinded and the best course of action was to ask for help. Fjord calling himself useless for not being able to keep Caduceus back, even though he expended all his spell slots.
